Customer Service: Bed Frame
Information
Bed
Frames for headboard only:
The
Sleep Shop
stocks
a vast selection of
bed
frames and
bed
rails. The term "bed frame" refers to
what is often called
Hollywood
bed frames, or
box
spring bed frames. A
bed
frame
fully
supports your mattress and box spring without the need for a
headboard or a footboard. We offer
standard
model bed frames, as well as
deluxe
insta-lock bed frames. While our
standard
model bed frame offers proper
and adequate support, our
deluxe
insta-lock bed frames
offer
more steel support and easier set-up. Our
Simmons
Bed Frame offers optimal support for your new Simmons
mattress. The Sleep Shop also stocks a
bed frame that hooks onto your existing headboard.
Bed Frames
to RAISE your bed:
Many customers want to raise their beds for
storage or to create an elegant look for their bedrooms. If you want your bed higher, order our
bed
frames with risers. We offer our
standard model bed
frame with risers,
as well as our
deluxe model bed
frame with risers.
We highly
recommend the deluxe bed frame with risers over the standard bed
frame with risers, because it is easier to assemble and much
sturdier.
Bed Frames
to lower
your bed:
You may find
that your bed frame is too high. Today's bedding is thicker than
ever before. The Sleep Shop offers a
variety of
low
profile bed frames designed to lower your bed.
We offer
low
profile bed frames with casters,
low
profile bed frames with feet,
and Simmons low
profile bed frames for your Simmons mattress (or
any mattress you'd like!)
Bed Frames
for
attaching headboard and footboard:
We offer
bed frames
for attaching a headboard only (above) and also bed frames for
attaching a
headboard and a
footboard.
Bed frame
wheels and feet:
If you have
hardwood floors, we recommend ordering a bed frame with plastic
feet or plastic glides, rather than wheels or casters. If
you select a bed frame with wheels or casters, you may want
place a piece of rug gripper under each wheel to keep them from
moving and possibly scratching your wooden floors.
Bed Rails:
The term "bed
rails"
refers to the side rails of your bed. Unlike bed
frames,
bed
rails
require that you have both a headboard and a footboard.
Bed
rails
are used to attach your headboard to your footboard. The
Sleep Shop offers
bed
rails
for twin size beds, full size beds, queen size beds, and king
size beds.
Converter
Bed Rails:
One of our most popular items is our
converter
bed rail set.
Our
converter
bed rail set
converts
most full size beds so that you can use queen size
bedding! Many of our customers use converter bed rails to
convert their full size antique beds into queen.
Low Profile Bed Rails:
If you have a headboard and a footboard and would
like bed rails that will lower your bed a few inches, please see
our
low
profile bed rails.
Our
low
profile bed rails
attach to your headboard and footboard- these rails are 3 inches
lower than standard rails.
A good bed
frame can help ensure that your mattress lasts a long
time. Your mattress is an investment. Select a bed
frame to support it.
