What kind of bed frame will raise my bed?

We offer two styles of metal bed frames with risers.  Our standard model bed frame with risers is a good economical choice.  Our deluxe bed frame with risers is the best bed frame with riser system available anywhere.

We also sell bed frame risers that you can use on your existing metal bed frame.  These risers work on most metal bed frames, but not all, unfortunately.

What kind of bed frame will lower my bed?

We sell several products to lower your bed, choose the kind you need based on the type of bed you already have.

  • If you have NO headboard or a  headboard ONLY, you can choose one of our Low Profile Bed Frames.  These bed frames are approximately 3" - 4" lower than normal bed frames (normal bed frames are usually 7" - 8" tall.)  The included bolt-on headboard bracket is designed to adjust so that your bolt-on headboard can be attached.  However, it may be necessary to drill new holes into your headboard for attachment.

  • If you have BOTH a  headboard and footboard, you can use our Low Profile Drop Rails.  Our Drop Rails will lower your bed 3 inches.

How can I attach a footboard to my existing metal bed frame?

You can attach a footboard to your existing bolt-on style bed frame by using our Footboard Bracket Kit.  These work only on bed frames that have pre-drilled holes in the side-rails for bolting on the Footboard Bracket Kit.

Can I convert my full or double size bed to a queen size?

Absolutely!  Just use our full to queen converter rail system.   This rail system is 82" long, long enough to accommodate queen size bedding.  Then, these rails have adjustable L-Bracket supports that allow for the extra width of queen size bedding.  How do they work?  Wonderfully!

Can I convert my queen size bed to a king size?

Unfortunately, there is no converter to convert a queen to a king.  The reason- there is too much difference in width between a king and a queen- 16 inches to be exact.  The overhang would be 8 inches on each side, which would not only a little wierd, but there would be no good way of making it stable enough to support king size bedding.  (Full to Queen size conversion works, because the difference in width is much smaller, only 6 inches, so there are only 3 inches overhang on each side, which is practically unnoticeable.)

Can I convert my twin size bed to a full size?

Unfortunately, no converter exists to convert a twin to a full.  The reason- there is too much difference in width between a twin and a full- 15 inches to be exact.  The overhang would be 7.5 inches on each side, which would not only look bad, but there would be no good way of making it stable enough to support full size bedding.  (Full to Queen size conversion works, because the difference in width is much smaller, only 6 inches, so there are only 3 inches overhang on each side, which is practically unnoticeable!)

Can I convert my 3/4 bed to a full size?

Unfortunately, we do not know of a converter that will convert 3/4 bed to a full.  If you opt to use the headboard ONLY, you can use mod-adapter plates to adapt your full size bed frame so that you can attach the 3/4 size headboard.
